Initial salary offers are based on candidate qualifications and then employee salary level is reviewed each year at the time of annual performance evaluations. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are also available for many positions.

Time Off

Time off is a valuable resource for all employees. At HealthONE we find that when our employees have time away from work they return refreshed, more energetic, and better equipped to handle the day ahead. That is why we feel it is important for employees to begin accruing hours immediately upon employment.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

HealthONE offers a Paid Time Off (PTO) bank that includes vacation, holidays, and sick time to allow maximum flexibility for the employee as to when they use available hours. Accrual begins immediately and is based on employment status and actual hours worked each pay period.

Extended Illness Bank (EIB)

The Extended Illness Bank (EIB) plan is designed to help replace your earnings in case of an accident or illness. Eligible employees are enrolled in this plan and begin accruing hours immediately upon employment. The maximum number of hours you may accrue in your EIB bank is 100 days or 800 hours.

Retirement

It is never too early to start planning for your retirement. HealthONE offers three great ways to start saving and earning money towards your retirement.

Stock Purchase Plan

The Employee Stock Purchase Plan gives employees a unique opportunity to become a stockholder by purchasing HCA common stock at a 15% discounted rate. There are no brokerage fees for stock purchases and deductions can be made conveniently through payroll each pay period. Employees may enroll on June 1 and December 1 after completing two consecutive months of employment.

Salary Deferral 401(k) Plan

This program allows you to take advantage of tax-deferred savings because you don’t pay taxes on your contributions until you withdraw money from the plan. In addition employees can contribute up to 50% of their pre-tax earnings to the limit. HealthONE matches a portion of your contribution. Employees are eligible on the first day of the month following 2 months of service and can select from a variety of professionally managed investment funds ranging from conservative to more aggressive investment objectives. Employees are fully vested after 3 years.

Retirement Plan (Money Purchase Pension Plan)

HealthONE makes a lump sum retirement contribution annually for eligible employees. The contribution is invested in stock, bonds, cash and other investment vehicles with full vesting occurring after 7 years. Contributions vary depending on pay and years of service. All employees are eligible who have twelve months of service, who work at least 1,000 hours during the plan year and who are employed January 1 and December 31 of the plan year. This program is fully funded by the hospital and employees are automatically enrolled!

Medical

Employees can choose between several options that allow you to address the specific needs of you and your family. Each plan varies in cost and benefit level.

Dental

Employees can choose between several options that allow you to address the specific needs of you and your family. Each plan varies in cost and benefit level.

Long Term Disability (LTD)

Long Term Disability insurance coverage may protect you from the financial consequences of a disability. Employees can elect 50% or 60% of monthly base pay income replacement and pay for this through convenient payroll deductions.

Employee Life & Accident

Life insurance is one of the safest, most reliable ways to provide financial security for your family in the event of your death. HealthONE pays the full premium for 1x salary and pays the majority of the premium for 2x to 6x salary, with employees paying the remaining amount through payroll deduction. Dependent life insurance is also available.

Additional Voluntary Benefits

Additional voluntary benefits are available through CorePlus Benefits and convenient payroll deductions. These include: universal life insurance, short-term disability, legal assistance, vision care and long-term care. Enrollment periods vary from year to year.

Healthcare Spending Account

The Healthcare Spending Account allows you to set money aside from each paycheck on a pretax basis to reimburse qualifying medical, dental, and vision expenses, such as certain deductibles, co-pays, prescription drugs, contact lenses, glasses, etc. This account saves you money because the taxable portion of your income is reduced. The maximum annual contribution is $3000.

Day Care Spending Account

The Day Care Spending Account allows you to set money aside from each paycheck on a pretax basis to reimburse yourself for eligible qualifying day care expenses for your dependent. This account saves you money because the taxable portion of your income is reduced. The maximum annual contribution is $5,000 ($2,500 if married filing separately).

Tuition Reimbursement

HealthONE has a tuition reimbursement program that provides you with financial reimbursement for tuition and related fees. This program strives to increase your competence in your present position or prepare you for promotion or transfer to other HealthONE positions. Reimbursement of 100% up to $3,000 per year for full-time employees after completion of the course with a grade of C or better ($2,000 for part-time). This program qualifies under Section 127 of the Internal Revenue Code, which allows it to be a tax-free benefit. All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible immediately upon employment.

Health Club Memberships

  • HealthONE Broncos Sports Medicine – Broncos Sports Medicine Clinic is located in Thornton. Services include fitness training, health club memberships, and massages.
  • Employee Wellness Center (Located at Swedish) – Services include, but are not limited to, exercise classes, weight training and cardiovascular equipment, fitness screening, massage therapy, nutrition consultation, and recreation leagues. $125 for a 1-year membership.
  • 24 Hour Fitness – Membership good at 15 Colorado locations and 439 locations worldwide. Initiation and processing fees waived. $34/month for single membership with additional discounts for family members (no long term contracts required).

Child Care Discounts

Employees can take advantage of a 10% discount at LaPetite, Children’s World, Thomas Learning Centers and Kindercare. HealthONE also has a day care center available to all employees.

Adoption Plan Benefit

The Adoption Plan pays for a portion of your adoption expenses much like the medical plan covers maternity expenses. The adoption plan will pay up to $2,000 for expenses you have within the plan year relating to the adoption of a child. Eligibility begins for full-time employees after one year of employment.

Discounted Sporting, Arts & Entertainment Events

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

This is a confidential assessment, counseling, and referral program, which helps employees and their families, solve personal problems that may affect their health, family life, and/or job performance. HealthONE pays for the cost which covers up to 5 sessions per problem, per year for every employee and their household members..

Employee Crisis Fund (ECF)

The Employee Crisis Fund is a fund which supports HealthONE employees during times of financial need. It is a program managed by an employee committee to assist employees who are experiencing a crisis. The committee reviews confidential applications, and upon approval, allocates financial assistance to employees in need. In the past, money from this fund has contributed to the financial obligations from a terminal illness. In addition to providing financial resources, employees are also referred to other organizations such as the Employee Assistance Program, United Way, Social Services, Salvation Army, Consumer Credit Counseling and the Northeast Women’s Center.

Bereavement Leave

Up to 40 scheduled hours may be taken off with pay, in the event a death occurs in your immediate family. Immediate family for purposes of bereavement leave includes spouse, child, parent, legal guardian or ward, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, all above relatives who are in-laws or step relatives and any relative who is a member of your household.

Cafeteria Discount

HealthONE employees are eligible for a substantial cafeteria discount at all facilities.

Jury Duty

Paid at your base rate for each scheduled hour of work missed for jury duty, not to exceed 30 days.

Auto Paycheck Deposit

HealthONE makes available to employees a direct deposit system, which allows the direct deposit of paychecks into a checking or savings account. For your convenience, we encourage your participation.
